Arthur H. Keeney papers, 1891-1996.

The collection includes correspondence, research materials, pamphlets, and journal articles, mostly related to Arthur and Virginia Keeney's research on the Verhoeff family. Keeney compiled the material while writing and researching articles about Frederick and John Verhoeff. Includes some of the papers of Dr. Frederick H. Verhoeff. Collection also contains a photocopy of a typescript of John M. Verhoeff's diary, written in 1891 while he was a member of Robert E. Peary's North Pole expedition. Photos of Frederick Verhoeff and family were transferred to the Filson's photographic collection.
